Chicken Chowmein (Whole Wheat)

Ingredients
- 11/21bs. Chicken Strips
-11/2tbsp Cornstarch
- 6tbsp Sesame oil, divided
- 11/2tbsp lndi Ginger Powder
- 11/2tbsp lndi Garlic Powder
- 454 grams Champion Whole Wheat
Chowmein, packet
-1tbsp Salt
- 2 whole Onions, chopped
- 2 whole Carrots, peeled, julienned
- 3 whole Bell Peppers, deseeded, julienned
- 1 head Broccoli, chopped
- 2tbsp Water
-432 grams Sweet Com Kernels,
drained
- 2 whole Scotch Bonnet Peppers
- 2 tbsp Rice Wine or Cooking
wine
- 2 tbsp Champion Chowmein
Seasoning
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 3 tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 3 sprigs Green Onions/
Eschallots, green parts only,
chopped
- Salt, to taste
Directions
- Place chicken strips into a large bowl and season with 4 tbsp. sesame oil,
cornstarch, ginger powder, garlic powder. Set aside
- Bring a pot of water to boil and season with 1 tbs of salt before adding
noodles. Champion Whole Wheat Chowmein should be cooked for 5-6 mins.
Drain and set aside.
- Heat reserved 2 tbs of sesame oil in a wok over med heat. Add chopped
onions and cook until softened. Add seasoned chicken strips to pan and cook
until opaque. Add julienne carrots and cook for 2 mins before adding bell
peppers, broccoli, and 2tbs water. Stir to combine and cover on low heat for 3
mins.
- Remove cover from wok and add com as well as scotch bonnet peppers.
Increase heat to med high and add rice wine stirring constantly until liquid has
reduced. Lower heat.
-Add cooked Champion Chowmein Noodles to pan along with oyster sauce,
soy sauce and Champion Chowmein Seasoning. Add chopped green onions
and stir until fully combined. Salt to taste and enjoy!
